A LLADRÓ TROPHY FOR THE WINNER OF BBVA OPEN CIUDAD DE VALENCIA

The Lladró piece Tennis player was a well-deserved award presented to Varvara Gracheva, the winner of the fourth BBVA Open Ciudad de Valencia. The young 19-year-old from Russia beat the German player Tamara Korpatsch in the final for her fifth title of the year, after which she rises to 121 in the WTA ranking.

The sculpture she received along with the cash prize is a faithful reflection of the participants in this consolidated tournament now in its fourth year which attracted over 10,000 spectators this fall to the Valencia Tennis Club. The white matte finish accentuates the dynamic movement and enables a better appreciation of all the details of the anatomy and clothing, in line with Lladró sculptures inspired by sports and the spirit of betterment.
