Lladró brings fans to the Dark Side at the Star Wars Celebration 2022.
The 2022 Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California was the chosen setting for the unveiling of Darth Vader, the outstanding new creation by Lladró which joins Queen Amidala, Princess Leia, Rey, and Ahsoka Tano in its collection of sculptures inspired by the Star Wars universe.
This highly-anticipated event made an emotional return to the Anaheim Convention Center in Los Angeles last weekend after a two-year hiatus, coinciding with the 45th anniversary of the first ever Star Wars premiere in American cinemas. Cosplaying fans from around the world gathered to celebrate the legendary saga and its galaxy of characters, while Ewan MacGregor and Hayden Christensen, the actors who played Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker respectively, made a special appearance.
The instantly recognizable black armor and cloak of this fearsome Sith Lord, one of the most iconic villains in popular culture, is exquisitely handcrafted in matte black porcelain with touches of glaze in a design that demonstrates the incredible level of technical skill of Lladró artists.
