LLADRÓ AT THE LAUFEN SPACE MADRID: A SHARED PASSION FOR PORCELAIN
LAUFEN, the Swiss leader in the design and manufacturing of sanitary porcelain, has transformed its flagship in Madrid, Spain, an early-twentieth century villa refurbished by Patricia Urquiola, into a laboratory of ideas open to the public.
The renewed image is the result of a collaboration with the Valencia-based interior and architecture studio SINMAS, conceived to broaden the world of contemporary porcelain by focusing on an exchange of disciplines, experimentation and environmental sustainability.
Chosen by Mateo Climent and Sigfrido Serra, the founding partners of SINMAS, some of Lladró’s pioneering collections are featured in this new meeting place for design professionals in the heart of Madrid. Creations like The Guest and Blossom are instrumental in creating an intimate, inspirational mood alongside LAUFEN designs by Marcel Wanders, Konstantin Gric and L+R Palomba.
