LLADRÓ AT THE SPAIN JAPAN BUSINESS CONTRIBUTION AWARDS

Lladró played a central role at the Spain Japan Business Contribution Awards held at the Tokyo Edition Toramon Hotel earlier this month. The annual awards, now in their sixth year, are organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (SCCJ) and celebrate successful business relations between the two countries. Special guests included representatives of the Spanish business community and the Spanish Embassy in Japan.

One of the awards was presented to legendary Spanish international soccer player and former World Cup winner Andrés Iniesta and his company SPORTS&LIFE (S&L). Iniesta, who has been playing in Japan since 2018, was recognized for his contribution towards Spanish business there through projects such as the Mikakus footwear brand, the Iniesta Methodology football academy and the Bodega Andrés Iniesta winery.

The prize was Gallop I, the elegant equestrian sculpture by Lladró that represents strength and natural elegance. In addition, lamps from Lladró’s Ice Cream collection illuminated the tables at the ceremony, enchanting all in attendance with their distinctive sinuous shapes.

The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Japan was established in 2016 to promote business relations between the two countries, and the Spain Japan Contribution Award has been held every year since. Previous award winners include LaLiga for its support towards Japanese football, and the companies Rakuten, Gestamp, Fast Retailing, Japan Airlines and Amadeus.
