Lladró was delighted to be involved in two prestigious events in London recently: the official launch of the stunning new book Strive for Perfection: The Official Platinum Jubilee Edition, followed by the London Press Club Ball.

Attended by more than 1,200 guests including senior editors, media influencers and VIPs, both events were held in the luxurious setting of the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair, London’s most exclusive neighbourhood.

Strive for Perfection: The Official Platinum Jubilee Edition is a beautifully-designed 500-page hardback book produced by the International Club for Rolls-Royce and Bentley Enthusiasts (or RREC) and publisher St. James’s House. Written by a team of industry experts and award-winning journalists, the book celebrates the extraordinary 70-year reign of the late monarch, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and features an array of articles that explore the close ties between the Royal Family and Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars.

The lavish launch took place in the hotel’s Great Room, which also hosted a display of luxury and high-end brands including Lladró, specially selected to resonate with the book’s theme of regal refinement. Our brand’s presentation included a range of limited edition creations from the High Porcelain category, such as the exquisitely detailed Cleopatra, Gladiator, Lord Balaji and Spanish Horse sculptures.

Later that same evening was the London Press Club Ball, attended by hundreds of editors and journalists from across the media industry. Held in the hotel’s impressive ballroom, the tables were warmly illuminated by the ambient glow of lamps from Lladró’s Kokeshi and Dome collections.

Lladró’s involvement in two such glamorous occasions in one of the most important world cities is further confirmation of our brand’s status as an international icon of Spanish design excellence and a world leader in the design of handcrafted porcelain creations.
