LLADRÓ AT MAISON&OBJET TRADE SHOW IN PARIS

Lladró once again made its mark on the world of design by presenting its Spring introductions at the prestigious Maison&Objet trade show in Paris. From January 19 to 23, Lladró presented its latest collections that captivated the attention of the design and decoration industry.

The event also marked the beginning of a momentous year, as the brand celebrates the 70th anniversary of its founding. The new collections presented were a celebration of the beauty of nature and creativity, and featured two special edition creations that commemorate Lladró’s seven decades of innovation in the porcelain industry and symbolize its two major facets, Heritage and New Concept. The Protective Dragon and Dragon, the latter from the Origami collection, each represent two distinct yet complementary aesthetic concepts, highlighting the diversity and ongoing evolution of the brand. The pieces that were on display are the result of the continuous experimentation and search for new shapes, colors, textures and inspiration, all made with the natural material of porcelain.

The Lladró space was designed by Carmen Baselga Taller de Proyectos, who chose a sage green background, one of the predominant tones in the brand’s new concept store. The space was divided into several sensory mini-scenes where craftsmanship and new technologies coexisted harmoniously, along with a “Lladró Experience” gallery, where visitors could explore different categories of Lladró products through choreographed lighting. Lladró also exhibited Mokuren, its latest lighting creation by renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. The chandelier is inspired by the beauty of the white magnolia flowers, a symbol of eternal ties, and perfectly combines traditional and modern elements.

Lladró also displayed its Hedgehog lamps, inspired by the quirky shape of this cute animal. The Vases with Flowers, available in pink and blue, stood out for their functionality and beautiful floral decorations. Another highlight of the collection was the Grogu character, an endearing creation by Lladró artists, based on the popular character from The Mandalorian.

Certainly, the world of nature and the animal kingdom are a great source of inspiration, as seen in the Flamingos sculpture, which depicts a pair of flamingos with intricate details and realistic movements. Other examples of this inspiration include the Turtles, Betta fish, Magic Nature among other pieces.

Overall, Lladró’s latest collections at Maison&Objet 2023 were a celebration of the brand’s rich history and its ongoing dedication to pushing the boundaries of handcrafted porcelain design. Visitors to the event were able to experience the brand’s creations first-hand and appreciate the exquisite craftsmanship of each piece.
